Letter to Myself

Dear Twenty-Something Self,

Never say never.  It appears that when you do, you are likely to do it.

A new home and nice vehicles are really not that important.  Giving away your money and making memories are.

Kids are a blessing and don't let the culture try to tell you that two is enough.  The Lord has more planned for you than that.

God's word, is just that...God's word.  Don't try to make it fit your own agenda.

Relationships are worth the work but remember that love is the bottom line.  People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.

Take care of your body.  It's God's temple and what you put in it will affect you later.

Respect your husband.  He'll thrive under it.

Don't plan your life.  Be willing to go where the Lord leads.  He won't necessarily tell you 10 years ahead of time.

When those moms with older kids tell you that your kids will grow up quickly, believe them and savor the cuddles and middle of the night feedings.

You made the right decision to quit your full time job which cut your income in half to stay at home with your beautiful babies.  You made memories that will last for a lifetime.

No matter how many lessons you'll have to learn the hard way, one thing remains...the Lord is faithful and He will never leave you where you are.  Keep seeking Him and He will draw you closer and reveal more of Himself to you with each passing year.  So really, these lessons you are learning are great stepping stones to greater faith and humility.  Treasure these lessons and share when given the opportunity.
